Significance
Clockwise
Celtic Spiral
| |
I chose a clockwise version of
the Celtic Spiral as my logo for several reasons.
First, I have always been personally attracted to the clockwise
spiral symbol, often times subconsciously incorporating it into my
clothing, art, furniture and accessories, finding it peaceful and full
of some indefinable allure.
Second, the significance attributed to the Clockwise Celtic
Spiral by artists, historians and archeologists closely parallels my own
outlook toward life and the over-all goals I have for my law practice.
According to many scholars, it symbolizes
the spiritual balance between inner and outer consciousness, the sun,
and the Cosmos; harmony with the earth; and the one I thought
particularly appropriate for the estate planning and elder law focus of
my practice, the cycle of
life.
This statement of significance combines various
interpretations of the symbol; but, I believe that the beauty of this
symbol is that it is not limited to a single significance.
Almost every civilization has some form of this
symbol represented in their art or architecture.
I have adopted the significance that corresponds
to my philosophical outlook and my practice goals:
balance and harmony, which I hope to promote
through creative problem solving.
